Nanjing Nanzi Scientific & Technical Development Co.,Ltd. (hereafter referred as Nanzi S&T) is the a vivid and fully new mechanism-based hi-tech enterprise jointly sponsored by the whole staff of both the Nanjing Electric Power Automation Equipment General Factory (hereafter referred as NAEG) and the Guodian Nanjing Automation Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred as SAC) of the State Corporation of Electric Power as well as established on the modern enterprise system and she constitutes an important part of the Nanjing Automation Corporation.
NAEG of the State Corporation of Electric Power, founded in 1940, now has become one of the domestic large-size key enterprises for the development and production of static relaying protections, packages of automation systems, geotechnical test apparatus and dam observation instruments as well as power measuring and testing meters. For several decades, NAEG has always devoted much attention to scientific and technological prog ress and the accumulation of more than 200 projects in the scientific and technological achievements have been awarded the prizes at provincial or ministerial level. Of these prized projects, over 50 items have reached the international level and more than 100 projects have lain on the advanced level at home or filled domestic blanks. In the early 70's of last century, NAEG developed the China's first set of the practical transistorized state relaying protections for the country's first 330kV EHV transmission line; later, the first set of the digital integrated telecontrol device and digital series protections are put forward by NAEG and NAEG is the first enterprise that develops and manufactures the protections for transformers, busbars, reactors of 500kV substation and 600MW or less units as well as the distributed or dispersed substation integrated automation systems.
The overall registered capital of the Nanzi S&T, an essential constituent part of the Nanjing Automation Corporation, amounts to 35 million yean (RMB). It employs a devoted, effective and vivid technical team responsible for the development, design, production and sale of the emerging technologies of the packages of equipment for electric power system automation and power distribution and utilization. In the meanwhile, Nanzi S&T, for its capital operation, has made some investments in the Nanjing University Science Technology Co., Ltd., SAC and several affiliated companies of NAEG.
The Nanzi S&T is now primarily oriented to such fields as electric power system automation, power electronics, on-line monitoring and status maintenance for power facilities as well as intelligent appliances. Some do of the varieties of its products include mainly substation automation system, station service automation system, on-line monitoring system for the primary equipment in electric power system, microprocessor-based excitation system, distribution network automation system and microprocessor-based DC operating power supply, which have been widely applied in electricity, water resources, petrochemical industry, metallurgy and railway, etc. Its products have been modularized, standardized and serialized. The essential techniques have lain on the advanced level among the similar products both at home and abroad.
